Best Fighter To Not Have Fought In The UFC?

by MasterBlaster on April 9, 2010

Since I am sure Fedor is going to be on everybody’s list. He’s excluded.

Who was or is the best non-UFC fighter? And why?

There are a couple really…

Just counting the ones in which there are weight divisions they could go into, (guys like Faber, and Kid Yamamoto don’t count since they are in a division that doesn’t exist UFC wise)

Gomi, Jake Shields, Paula Filho, Mark Hunt would be a good edition to Heavyweight, Rickson, (or for that matter any Gracie not named Royce) Arona.

I guess if you had to go with a best, you would go by rankings, and that would make Paulo Filho one of the best fighters to not have fought in the UFC.

Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko is by far the best fighter to have never fought in the UFC.

Urijah Faber definitely

as to why, because UFC doesn’t have featherweight class where Faber really dominate.

Biddie April 9, 2010 at 22:23

Okay I will give you that but everyone else on my list is actually going to the UFC so I am going to go with Faber!
Or Lionides.

at some point everybody has fought in the ufc, everybody worth committing a brain cell for.

Cung Le. He is just tough as nails.

Faber, easily. Super quick, has great ground and pound, good submissions and take downs, good submission defense, and just recently showed off some sick striking ability against one of the toughest fighters in history, Jens Pulver (not tough as in the best, although he is up there, tough as in you can hit him with just about every punch you can think of and the guy won’t stop coming.)

Urijah Fabor i think is the best right now that hasnt fought in the UFC he is domenation everyone he faces right now i would love to see him go up in weight class and take on BJ Penn in the UFC that would be one of the best fights of the year

skahoj April 10, 2010 at 00:22
