squid42887 December 23, 2009 at 08:54

everlast SUCKS…you got some sense with the Cletos, but grant sucks too, everyone is stealing from cleto!

mifi456 December 23, 2009 at 09:32

Elchori79 December 23, 2009 at 10:54

Yes you can wear it, I think that you should use the 14 oz., It´s a great option!,

I could not tell you, they are hard to find in stores, but, if you have a boxing gym near your town, you can ask there!

where can i buy a pair of cleto reyes i dont want to buy them off the internet

Elchori79 December 23, 2009 at 13:56

I use the reyes 18 oz. for sparring and is the same as grant, I used the 3 gloves for sparring and my partners have not said anything, if you want to hurt you can hurt with reyes, grant, everlast…that’s my point
Thanks for post!

poncekid56 December 23, 2009 at 14:09

I’ve heard many good things about them, BUT I heard the gloves are a little rough on your sparring partner

Elchori79 December 23, 2009 at 14:43

grant are excelent gloves, you should try it, I think that the price is ok, excelent leather and foam, and hand made in mex.
they have a good reputation

poncekid56 December 23, 2009 at 15:33

Very nice collection, I have a pair of heatseeker training gloves and the padding is very good, the craftsmanship needs work though. Are the grant training gloves really worth the money or should I stay with the heatseekers?

JasonBJJ1990 December 23, 2009 at 16:02

i got fairtex hook and loop and the truipm heat seekers i think those gloves underated. very good and alot of protection and on SALE FOR 39.99 laceup is the one im thinkin bout gettin. but WHAT THE BEST GLOVES i guess i just gotta try it on for my self

Thankyou for the advice, I wil take your recommendation. All I have to do now is get a little fitter and I should be well away.

Elchori79 December 23, 2009 at 17:11

If you only hit the bag, I recommend the TUF WEAR bag gloves at titleboxing, they are very good gloves , excellent sewing and leather, they are 14 oz. aprox.

Elchori79 December 23, 2009 at 17:41

thanks dooby for the reply, a few months ago I bought some windy bag, appear to be 10 oz., I feel It hurt my knuckles, I think foam is a bit hard, I will try with sparring gloves 16 oz.

Elchori79 December 23, 2009 at 17:54

at ringside page

dooby510 December 23, 2009 at 18:04

I have windy gloves and the grant training gloves. The windy’s aren’t that bad, but the thumb socket is kind of small so my thumb feel’s pressured. The glove has decent protection over the knuckles, but my hands do feel sore after hitting the bag. Now I have the grant bag gloves and the training gloves. I love the bag gloves, but I’m not happy with the training gloves. The padding is uneven in my training gloves, and their is less in my right glove compared to the left. Too soft for me too

ZAPTAPPER1 December 23, 2009 at 18:10

I have just started taken a few boxing lessons. I would like to buy gloves, Can anyone tell me what wait of gloves I should start with?

TheRey4you December 23, 2009 at 18:26

i got the red ones (reyes) in 18 0z .. i think who ever buys reyes , its worth the 18 oz mark IF your going to spend 90 plus quid on the glove anyway. it makes my life alot easier with the 18 0z ( i had the 12 oz white at first) .. but i dont have to think about my protection , i can just punch as hard as i can without having to worry about my wrist ,thumb or hand .

Elchori79 December 23, 2009 at 18:55

thanks !
