Boxing Equipment Suggestion?

by MasterBlaster on May 15, 2010

Im 16 and am about to start taking boxing lessons. If anyone knows what store sells boxing equipment that would be really helpful. Are there like boxing stores or should i just go to any sporting goods store like Dicks. Also, if anyone knows what equipment ill need exactly that would be helpful.

Get gear from:
Ringside
Twins
Cleto Reyes
Grant

You can find a majority of all those on Ringside.com

The brands you want to avoid at all costs:
nEverlast (Everlast)
Title
Combat Sports
Century
Anything else that is not Ringside, Twins, Cleto Reyes, or Grant

You’ll need training gloves in anywhere from 12-16 ounces and you’ll need hand wraps (the Mexican style are the best). That’s basically all you’ll need for training.

If you’re planning on sparring, you’ll need 16-18 ounce sparring gloves and headgear as well.
