Thanks for Geography lesson. The point I was trying to make is that the Klitschkos are, in fact, popular champions, that is indisputable. They consistently sell out their fights wherever they go (especially in Europe) and all of their fights are televised. In comparison with the other heavyweight champs (Valuev) who has no network sponsor), or David Haye, who has yet to be seen on American television, that’s nothing to sneeze at.
in those 2 nations yes, but there are over 25 nations in europe.

As I said, the klitschkos are extremely popular in europr: Germany, Russia, the Ukaraine. Can you offer up some evidence to contradict this claim? Fact is, the klitschkos are probably the most popular sports figures in Germany and the Ukraine. I won’t deny that the division has seen better days, but much of that is due to the fact that American heavyweights suck donkey ass and haven’t had a legit contender in a decade.

Not really. As Americans we are are egocentric. We tend to think of America as the center of all things cool. The fact is, boxing is as popular as it’s ever been…in Europe. When we talk about the death of the heavyweight division or of boxing in general, we must discuss why it is dying in America. Fact is, the Klitschkos are huge stars in Europe. They sell out each and every fight. Recently, Wlad and Haye sold out a 60,000 plus arena in Germany in under a week.
Personally I think you are boarderline retarded. Whatever you might think of the klischkos, they ave been champions at each and every stage of their careers. Wlad Klitschko won the Olympic gold medal. The suggestion that they’ve had all their fights fixed doesn’t even warrant a response. Go soak your head idiot.

Haye’s camp has opted for a very high risk strategy. The chances of Haye winning is minimal. It appears almost foolhardy to have taken this fight.
Nice point about honing Haye’s skills against a few of the lesser names first before facing Wlad. It would have given himself & the world the chance to assess his skills and power in HW.
Haye is no Ali. If he believes otherwise, he is wrong.
I hope this fight does not ruin Haye’s future in the division.
