I was just curious because I’m going on a 7 day cruise to the Mexican Riviera in April. I had 2 options: April 19-26 or April 26-May 3. I picked April 19-26 because I do not want to miss the Manny Pacquiao vs. Ricky Hatton fight on Saturday night of May 2. But I was just wondering, if I were to go on April 26-May 3, would I still be able to watch the fight live on the cruise ship while at sea?

I have worked for Royal Caribbean, Holland America and Great Pacific Cruise Lines and I can tell you that you will NOT be able to watch the fight LIVE. Better to TiVo or DVR if you are on vacation.
You did the right thing to change the date to accomodate your fight. The only channels the cruise ships gets are local channels from the ports you are visiting, and the pre-recorded tapes for onboard activites and that’s it.
I hope this helps.
