No, I do boxing for exercise and fun. I am just beginning, however i don’t plan on entering any events
no you dont
you could train without getting in a ring
no, just train if your going to train. some people just go in to learn how to fight or as a workout, you don’t have to compete. oh, and be ready to get punched in the face. that turns a lot of people off from boxing. I’d say about %80 of people who come to the gym to box quite when they feel how it is to get punched in the face and body repeatedly.
You don’t have to, but if you are there just to train don’t let gym rat peer pressure con you into doing what you don’t want to do. Boxing ad kickboxing looks a lot easier than it is with out the proper supervision you can get seriously injured….
NO! That’s a strong no if you did not notice and the reason being that some coaches will try to manipulate a person into actually getting into the ring when they don’t want to or are not ready to. So in those cases you have to say no yourself. It is one thing to train and work out and/or be what I call an in-school or in-gym fighter and another thing to actually step into the ring against someone else that is there to win at your expense on some fight card. Not all coaches are like this but just be aware that some have other interests in mind and fighters fight because they want to or like to fight. A person should not get into the ring unless they want to and only when they are ready to.
No.
No u can do it just for exercise as well, but usually everyone sooner or later starts joining in events. a lot of fun.
No, a lot of people do it for the workout, but end up doing matches, and such, but it’s totally up to you why you do it.
