@ikeharaj I totally agree. While Mayweather most definitely lacks the versatile skill set necessary to stand a chance in an MMA fight, I would have a hard time naming an MMA fighter that could go twelve rounds when limited to minimal contact boxing. These are two completely different sports that require completely different understandings of your opponent and general combat. That was indeed a racist statement and an unnecessary rationalization at that.
Everything is about perception. Where are you in the world is how you see the world. This dude wouldn’t last against a good MMA fighter in his own weight class. I am not bias toward MMA but it is a fact that the cross training ground fighting and standup will do better than just a stand up fight. What would he do if he got knocked on the ground? Beer drinkers??? He is right about one thing, MMA fighters don’t get paid enough.

Floyd is right Because if you notice most UFC fighters are white american, Brazilians, or Canadians. None of these ethnicities really have an Idol in boxing which is why it’s not interesting to them. It’s like watching soccer, football, or basketball without having a favorite team. Unless you have an idol in boxing, or you’re a hardcore boxing fan then you will go to UFC.
