@KarateKid7395
Well Bjj is a great martial art and i would recomend it to anyone.Try it,but if you like Karate more then stick with what you like.

@KeanuLmao your parents have had a healthy 17 year long sex life. bet your dad could teach you a few moves for while in the guard.

I have to start classes with my brother, im 13, and hes 30, will I get pwned? lol im kinda skinny, ive watched alot of ufc ! do you kick and does it hurt?

Douglas12982 May 20, 2010 at 21:06

@KarateKid7395, the earlier you learn jui-jitsu, the more you become acclimated with the movements. Practice technique, and just keep sparring, sparring, and sparring. You have to feel your opponents movements and strength, so you know exactly how it feels to grapple. A lot of running, pilates, and stretching will really help you in your cardio, and flexibility. Just start from a young age, and you will excel in your practitioning.

you don´t have the pilot license because of study tech, it´s because of your millions

BrutusCass May 20, 2010 at 22:30

@PhillipJie Hum it is funny how you say this here, after some of the other comments that you have made, geess some of them ringers ;-)

jmacl435 May 20, 2010 at 22:33

what is SCJJ?

MrOphachew May 20, 2010 at 23:29

I think I’ll take SCJJ over bjj. bjj is great in the ring but as self-dense it’s over-rated. I know all the MMA and cage-match fans are drinking the cool-aid and worshiping at the alter of bjj right now.

To see why GSP did not break Hardy’s arm copy and paste

“UFC 111 GSP vs. Dan Hardy (Gracie Breakdown)” in search bar

@roussean23 I have been training for a few months at the Gracie Barra and I became more confident while it also improved my health!

miatlinec May 21, 2010 at 00:14

raiden237 May 21, 2010 at 00:35

@KarateKid7395

roussean23 May 21, 2010 at 00:48

Gracie Barra has given me so much confidence and humility, luv Gracie Jiu Jitsu!!!

adamresyk2112 May 21, 2010 at 00:49

The best thing I ever got while trying to knock a BJJ fighter out was a reality check. BJJ kicks ass!!

adamresyk2112 May 21, 2010 at 00:51

@KarateKid7395 No question, you’d love it!!

ipyonoti May 21, 2010 at 01:11

This is Kosen Judo. Put credit where it is due. Kosen Judo = Origin of BJJ. Rickson said in his book that the japanese held back on teaching and taught only the basics because they were non-japanese and thus had to learn and evolve the art on their own. Helio did improve it, But he did not invent it. ALL of it is still from Kosen Judo.

@KarateKid7395 jiu jitsu will in fact help your karate, hard to explain, but when someone throw a fist at you, you realise all the angles and things you can do with it becuase of your constant interaction with limbs in jiu jitsu class, I definetly recomend it

WebMediaEntertain May 21, 2010 at 01:41

@KarateKid7395 HELL YES! I’m 18 and been doing karate, taken my first lesson today and man I enjoyed it A LOT…if you like close contact this is the thing do to and if you do both karate and BJJ you can start beeing a more complete fighter.

IskurBlast May 21, 2010 at 01:59

Great point about the evolution of BJJ. Just like Judo it evolved from the more power based traditional jiu jitsu out of necessity for someone who was a much smaller man.

mcardos0 May 21, 2010 at 02:47
