How do MMA fighters train to have hard chins and heads and bodys so they can take a punch without getting KO?

How do MMA fighters train to have hard chins and heads and bodys so they can take a punch without getting KO?After I get back from Iraq I want to become ameture MMA fighter.So I want to know some of the fundamentals.

There isn’t a lot you can do about having a weak chin. Some people say that strengthening your neck allows your head more stability, meaning a punch will jar your brain less and thus make you less likely to get KO’d. This theory may have some truth to it: Most boxers known to have granite chins had well developed knecks.

Things you can do to be a good fighter regardless, such as learning to block and slip punches well, learning how to take a punch better, and ways to halt/escape combinations.

when an mma fighter gets a punch on his face for the first time it will heart him alot for sure but when he receive many punches for months of training he will get use to it

One hit KO’s are rare, and normally flukes. Kostya Tzsu (famous boxer) would spend hours doing forward rolls on the floor over his neck to strengthen his neck for better head support, and to have more control when being disorientated. When you get hit, you’ll be disorientated, its best to know how to handle the situation and have been there before.

They are fighting people who have weak hand technique.

MMA guys do not specialize in just boxing, so their punches are not as focussed as a boxer’s would be or as someone who just did striking. Plus, in MMA, you have a better odds of winning by going to the ground and submitting your opponent, so it would make sense to put more focus on that than on just giving a fighter the ability to KO a person. Lots of people in that sport come from wrestling or jujitsu. That explains what looks like a hard head.

The hard body part comes in from getting in top shape. Weights. Weights. Weights.

I would suggest you get a black belt in a martial art before you go MMA. That way, you have a basic competence. Also, you will work out the demons you have in you from Iraq. The last thing your opponent needs is for you to go crazy on them in a full contact match because you think you’re back in the desert fighting Al Queda or because you think you’re back in boot camp.
