I love watching boxing and would love to find out if I have what it takes to be a ref.

I hate to say this, but it takes political connections. You have certain licensing procedures for each state, but the process is similar to getting a real estate license. Getting a real estate license doesn’t guarantee you go out and start selling houses for people, and just because you have a license to ref fights doesn’t mean your going to get any fights to ref. You have to have political connection to even get a start, then you have to build a reputation, just like in any other business.
