How long should i wait before i wait until i start mma competitions ?

ive been doing martial arts for 6 years and i am going to start MMA training how should i wait before i start competition? How much money do ameatures fighters make? How long does your usual ameature fighter train

Sorry for a generic answer, but it is the right one:

It all depends on the individual. When you are ready, you and your coach/manager will know it and you can start getting into fights and promotions.

My advice is to start out doing small pankration/no gi grappling tourmaments while you are training. This will help you prepare for NHB fights.

Amatuer fighters usually don’t make much at all, it depends on the organizer,…maybe 500, or a 1000. depends….but you better win your first fight.

i had my first smoker fight ( in house fight) a year and a half into my training. i trained 4 to 5 days a week and two times a day, its a lot of work but worth it. just listen to your coach and train your butt off, let them tell you when your ready but tell them you do want to compete.
