How long should my Dell laptop be in the boxing stage before shipping?

by MasterBlaster on May 6, 2010

I bought a Dell Inspiron 1525 and it has been in the boxing stage for two days. Should it really take that long to box a laptop.
No I didn’t add any software. I call the number to check my status. When do they update the satus of your system. I called this morning around 7 Mountain Time and it was still in the boxing stage. It has been in that stage for three days now. I was wondering if that is normal?

No, it shouldn’t take that long.

According to Dell, once it’s in the boxing stage, the system has already been built. At that point, they just need to add any bundled software or manuals.

Did you request /purchase any software with your computer? If so, there’s a possibility that they need to wait until that software becomes available so that they can include it with your computer.
