How many rounds is an interim title fight in the ufc?

by MasterBlaster on April 2, 2010

A normal title fight in the UFC is 5 five minute rounds.
Other fights are 3 five minute rounds.
How long for the interim title such as when GSP and matt hughes fight in december, or BJ penn and joe stevenson fight in january.

5×5. Just like a regular title fight. Hughes vs. GSP won’t last that long though.

The Interim Title is just a title that is defended while the original champ is out injured or his status is uncertain for one reason or another. It is treated just like the normal title, so an Interim Title fight will still be 5 five minute rounds.
