Boxing is the only combat sport that is truly popular in the U.S. MMA is growing fast but it is not in the mental capital of average person in U.S. I bet only the privileged in United Emigrates know MMA.

Because the UFC is a very effective tool to win the hearts and mind of the young Muslims. The traditional Muslims dislike the western ways of commercializing humans like porn and boxing, ironically they have their version of that like the concubines and belly dancers. Nevertheless there is an undeclared brotherhood in the field of Martial Arts regardless of where you’re from. Many times the winning warrior has compassion for his fallen enemy.
