If you want to learn how to actually tape a fighters hands for a fight, go to www.muaythaitips.com and put your e mail in the box! In this video, Brad Daddis and Rigel Balsamico of Daddis Fight Camps break down how to do a proper hand wrap for Muay Thai training. Watch as many times as you need to learn to do it yourself before training. Keep your hands safe! You’ll notice this wrap does not show the wrap around the thumb. To add, simply do two figure 8′s around the thumb and wrist.

I was thought to keep my thumbs in at all times when striking and even blocking because they are so vulnerable… everyone who’s experienced jammed thumbs know they suck… Thank you for posting

This’s another traditional Muay Boran hand wrapping. No english sub tho -*-
I bet, what’s your name?
Most thumb injuries, in our experience, happen when the punch is thrown incorrectly. I would imagine punching the elbow with or without a wrapped thumb would still cause considerable injury.
That said, wrapping the thumb is neither correct or incorrect, but just a matter of preference. We prefer not to wrap the thumb but as you can see, it is easy to incorporate a quick thumb-wrap with this style of hand-wrapping.
the method is good but u forget the thumb is very important :s
my friend got hit to his thumb today(no wrap) said it stings, espedcially when he is not used to pain in this part
dude i’ve boxed a bunch, i’m fighting on the mosley/floyd undercard, look for me on it.
@kanodogg than you probebly never boxed before, ive seen about 2 guys where i train who broke their thumb trying to punch to the body and accidently hitting the other guys elbow. they did not wrap their thumb!
whats the song at the beginning called?
hell yay 311
