There is something you can do to get started.
First conditioning. Tons of pushups, situps, pull ups, lunges, and running would be a great start. Also do a google search for stretches. If you are strong, conditioned and flexible, it will go a long way towards making the training go easier when you can afford it.
Also you can buy used video’s and books from eBay. This isn’t the best way to learn, but again when you can afford a real class you will be way ahead of the game.
Also, most classes offer 1 week or a couple weeks of free instruction, to lure you into the class. You may just stumble upon one you can afford, or one that will give you a break on the price if you work cleaning the mats or other stuff around the class.
I would also post a flyer at a local college. You might find someone who has trained for 10 or 15 years who will get you started for $10 a session. That is really cheap considering it would be 1 on 1 training.
mixed martial arts is not a style. you literally have to MIX martial arts together.
as for free
