Brazillian Jiu Jitsu is your best bet. This will provide a base for you to build off of. Also, if you are in high school (or even if you’re not) try wrestling. Wrestling gives you good scrambling, and gets you used to competing. Also, wrestling is a basic fundamental in Mixed Martial Arts. I myself used to be a skeptic of his, but than I started wrestling and it increased my Jiu-Jitsu skills and increased my fighting skills like crazy.
jujitsu is a good one i picked and you sound like you have nice height and weight for it so try that and im 6’2 145 and in a felter weight division in my mma fight club and im undefeated so far in it so like i said try that
First do muay thai and see if you can handle full contact punches to the nose and knees to the sternum, then if u succeed in not getting totally messed up do that for a couple of years while doing brazilian jiu jitsu (which is also extremely painful) u must be extremely good in both of those winning local, regional and national comps to get noticed by a proffesional trainer (u gotta be over 18 to be in a pro ufc and mma gym) then do extremely well in that and do more local/regional/international mma comps. Then u may get a international fight. Do well in those and u may get into ufc.
Anyways. You have a long way to go so concentrate on the present for the moment and start training
Good luck!!
find a place that trains mma. do that for a few years, because you cant fight for another 4 years. a good mma school will teach you how to do all aspects of fighting. they will give you a background in everything you need to start your career. after you learn some mma, then do some jiu jitsu or what ever you feel you need to work on. wrestling is cool but not necessary. the hardest part is to stick with it. good luck man.
it really depends on what’s around you, because there may be a bjj school but it sucks, but there’s a cool old school boxing coach nearby
if there’s a restling team at your school, that’s an excellent start, 3-4 months of daily, intensive training, and plenty of competition experience, all for free
it doesn’t get better than that
as you get older (18+) you can work in the other stuff
join the wrestling team, if your to afraid to do that you don’t deserve to be in the ufc
but on the other hand if you already are learn as much as you can and work as hard as you can
wrestling is dominating the ufc
just look at randy couture, gsp, sean sherk, dan henderson, brock lesnar, chuck liddel, matt hughes(just to name a few)
