Size means nothing in fights in fact you have the advantage go for low areas like the kidney, ankle or back of the knee. Especially the kidney you hit him their hard enough he will be down in a flash. Be swift and mix it up a little. Throw kicks and punches, don’t give him any time to react.

First rule of fighting someone bigger than you: don’t stand and strike. A bigger person hits harder and will do more damage striking, plus the reach advantage. At the first opportunity take the fight to the ground. If he’s kind of out of shape, his endurance may be suspect. Stay on him, don’t let him rest, keep him busy. You better know how to wrestle/submit.

I do capoeira, and it can be very effective in mma if used right, what works best for me is low strikes around the knee’s, and to keep him on his toes and be unpredictable

control one of his arms. focus. use all your body weight on that one arm. get to his wrist. twist it with all your strength. when his hand opens up, you go for his pinky. bend it til he taps out. be careful to do this slowly as to not break it, but if you have to, a broken pinky isn’t the worst you can do. once you have hold of that pinky, do not let go. use it to control his entire body until he submits.

keep your head tucked. don’t let him get you in a head lock. be quick. move around him. don’t get hit. he’ll be much more likely to stand and let you circle him, as he turns slowly. juke him like a football player. pay attention to his hands. don’t let them grab you.

the way to control the arm is to lunge and jump, mounting it if possible.

what are his weapons? hands , feet , keep him at a 90 degree angle and keep yourself at a 45 degree angle to the attacking weapons, keep moving!!! , control his shoulders, hips, knees, feet , twist him up then lower the boom!

it is easy to control a bigger person when they are twisting to follow you and are contorted, hit him when he is contorted and you will win!

think evasion! dont get hit and for god’s sake dont let him sit on you!
tire him out while not ‘ fighting ‘ him and you’ll win the fight ;)

change his vision and CUT the angle he is then looking at, be it the knee hip etc…

use your brain and give some thought to these concepts!
and keep moving!

Ok… When you start up circle him… you never wanna be strait in front. When your ready to strike he will be a little bit dizzy, and if you go the right way he should turn into it.

When you strike, full strength punch him in the nose. This will make his eyes blurry. hit him either in the stomach or on the jaw line. this will knock the breath out of him or give a chance for a knockout. After that don’t stop swinging until you think he wont be very much resistance. Do a duck under claw or headlock throw to bring him down and pin him.

I’ve found fake out combos work well with larger slower guys. Butterfly kicks, spinning crescents, kicks to the knees work well too, jump front followed with round to the side works well, surprise strikes.

Tire him out, stay close to him, but not close enough to let him really get you, just slightly out of his reach. Tire him out by moving around a lot and not really throwing many hits. But if an opportunity arises, TAKE IT. Everyone has their own thing that really works for them though.

For example, I’m only 5 ft 7 in, I weigh about 155, I rock climb, skateboard, spar, play shows (you wouldn’t believe how hot it gets under those lights SWEAT SWEAT SWEAT haha) and just all around like to go out and do active stuff like hike, camp, run, ride bikes, whatever, I love doin stuff. One thing I’ve found while sparing that works extremely well for me since I have so much energy, is not even giving them a moment to rest. Don’t tire yourself out though. I may be a shorter guy but to get my black belt about five or six ago I had to spar my instructors, one was about 6 ft 2 in and I was able to smack that silly lookin smirk right off his face with my heel :) after letting him kick and swing at me for awhile (I’m pretty fast, react quickly) then as he tried to land a combo of punches, he was retracting his arms but neither one was in his stance, I took the opportunity to jump front into his ribs push up and off and then round kick him in the head. I was pretty proud of myself. Got some browny points too :)

But again, these are just things that work for a small quick guy like myself. I’m not so great with ground and grapple since it’s actually pretty easy to throw me around.

Hope this is helpful!

How’d the athletic commission approve that? Oh wait, you’re one of those guys who does things in his back yard.

Stop it. Right now.

You don’t have the knowledge or skill to do this safely. Neither does he. Go to a real gym. Stop pretending to be a fighter and actually be a fighter.

good luck i no how u feel wit the weight diffrence im trien to beat a 200
pounder and 6 footer and im only 59 155 so good luck

you really need to work the body shots, dissrupt his breathing and it will wear him down enough to where he will drop his hands… thats when you finish him off with a right over head or right hook, or left if its more dominant
