medicinegone June 2, 2010 at 19:55

@Ibalon2012 Exactly.
And he me say he wants to fight there but…who the hell is he going to fight? Tank Fucking Abott?

krrakkaz June 2, 2010 at 20:19

the Japanese have a great model for mixing their combat sports… by co-promoting K-1 and MMA at their dynamite shows, they probably put a lot of people (dream and pride fans) on K-1 that wouldn’t otherwise watch it. I think the same logic could be used in the states, with boxing instead of kickboxing in that circumstance.

I agree. Boxers just like MMA fighters, are getting injured with every shot they took. With every day they train. The only sport that doenst hav injuries is probably chess

I can’t believe we’re still talking about legalizing MMA in NY. For Fuck Sake MMA should be legalized every fucking where. It’s boxing (just with kicks, thiner gloves, no shoes, in the cage and with ground game. But thats what makes it better :D )

TORONTO!!!!!!!!!!!

GriNGoLocoTe June 2, 2010 at 23:35

There are obvious interests from the boxing big bosses for this not to pass, and hiding behind “90% of the public is tattooed” is just pure rhetoric BS on their part. Make MMA legal!

Darkeons June 2, 2010 at 23:37

it says help mma get legalized in new york, but doesn’t say how ;)

Anyways i agree. it is truly the greatest sport in the world in my opinion. I love doing all kinda sports, but the only sport i find interesting to watch as a fan, is MMA

streetfight2020 June 3, 2010 at 00:10

sandmman89 June 3, 2010 at 00:24

This is a great film..I would actually like the DVD. It would be amazing for the UFC to be in MSG. Ny is the one of the biggest fight cities in the world. Why would you not have the fastest growing sport there. Not only that, but the financial gain for the city if they held the fights there. NY officials need to recognize.

Hirota didn’t tap and what happened to Sanchez is absolutely trivial. It’s a (deep) skin cut which will heal. It only LOOKS scary but people need to learn to look past the blood and understand that blood isn’t automatically HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.

dirtyminded604 June 3, 2010 at 01:51

Broken arms and cuts happen in Hockey and football? There’s no difference…

mmajunkie05 June 3, 2010 at 02:38

This was amazing, vote yes for MMA in the york!!

Keith4Prez June 3, 2010 at 03:17

Amazing film. Lets get this sport legalized in the great state of New York!

I am a former boxer. MMA fighter don’t take as much damage with long term effects as we do. This is due to the differences in rules between MMA and boxing. In boxing you take a lot more sustained head trauma. I have walked around for days in the past with slurred speech and a splitting headache. MMA fighters tend to take damage with less long term effects like cuts, broken noses, chewed up ears, occasionally broken bones. If MMA isn’t allowed then boxing shouldn’t be allowed either.

xxkiraly96xx June 3, 2010 at 04:44

sanchez was probably the one who was most messed up in all of mma and that aoki broke someones arm also happens often in jiu jitsu

tacprc June 3, 2010 at 04:57

I am a huge MMA fan and support the legalization of MMA in NYC, but…
MMA fights can be absolutely brutal. Just within the past month, take a look at what BJ Penn did to Diego Sanchez’s forehead, and what Shinya Aoki did to Mizuto Hirota’s arm.
The officials in charge of these fights need to declare the victor before one of the fighters gets severely damaged.

They’re hyping up NY too much, fuck NY.

horaaliya June 3, 2010 at 06:24

AshBox77 June 3, 2010 at 07:10
