1) Name a fighter who has been a tournament champion in the UFC, Pride, and RINGS.
2) Name 3 UFC heavyweight champions who have been stripped of their belts, and the reasons why.
first to get one right gets the best answer. just trying to find the guys who actually know a little something about mma, because there doesn’t seem to be much knowledge about the subject around here.

me
1) Quinton rampage jackson
2) Lidell lost it to Jackson
Randy the natural cotour or Qotuer not sure lost it to Lidell i think
before that Im not sure,
1)dan henderson, jeremy horn
2)bj penn got the welterweight belt taken from him because he signed to fight in k1 breaching his ufc contract.
i believe sean sherk lost (or at least in the process of losing)the lightweight title due to testing positive for steroids
couture was stripped of the title due to contract disputes
EDIT: my bad i just read you saying HEAVYWEIGHT….
josh barnett lost his belt due to steroid use
and
frank mir lost his title due to not defending the title in the alotted time due to injuries
Rich Franklin Lost his belt to TKO to Anderson Silva
Geoges St-Pierre got knocked out by Matt Serra
Chuck Liddell got knocked out by Quinton Rampage Jackson
I am pretty sure that Mauricio (Shogun) Tua is the one who has been the tournament champion in UFC, Pride, an RINGS
1.Tough one…. Don Frye or Jeremy Horn? I’m not sure that anyone has been champion in all three organizations.
2. Vitor Belfort- Steroids
Sean Sherk- Steroids
Tim Sylivia – Steroids
BJ Penn- Contract dispute
Frank Shamrock- Contract dispute
1. For ufc, royce gracie was the champion of ufc 1(and also 2 and 4)
For pride, mirko filipovic was teh champion of the pride 2006 OWGP
For rings i believe valentin overeem won king of kings 2000, i am not 100% sure though i know he submited randy at the finals because i just watched that fight yesterday and i know randy beat horn and tk to make it to the finals.
2. Randy Couture was striped of his first or second heavyweight belt(i forget which one) when him and the ufc had contract problems.
Frank Mir was striped of his belt after he had a accident and couldnt defend the belt against AA
Tim Sylvia was stripped of his first belt after he tested positive for steroids.
Dan Henderson
Barnett for steroids and his contract expiring.
Mir was stripped for not defending his belt after his motorcycle injury.
Don’t know of a third, Sylvia was not officially stripped, he gave up his belt after testing positive.
1) dan Henderson
2) I’ll name 4: Randy Couture – contract issues, Josh Barnett – steriods, Tim Sylvia – steroids, Frank Mir – was unable to fight for too long after a motorcycle injury, so the ufc gave the title to arlovski who had been the heavyweight interim champion
nobody was a tournament champion in all three orgs however dan henderson won two pride belts but not tournaments. he won the 99, tournament in rings and ufc 17. mark coleman won a tournament in pride and the ufc but not rings! nobody has won all three!
as for the second part
1josh barnett – traces of steroids were found in his systme
2randy couture- randy had contract disputes with the ufc and went to rings but lost a tournament final
3frank mir- stripped cause he couldnt defend his tile due to his injuries. i dont think you can give anybody a best answer cause you worded the question wrong but i seem to be the only on to point it out! i guess da funk won there cause i see nobody else got it right
Just because we don’t know the answers to some obscure questions doesn’t mean we don’t know MMA. I bet most fighters in the UFC wouldn’t be able to answer those questions off the top of their heads. And it sure as hell doesn’t make a difference when it comes to fighting. When you’re beating the crap out of someone, what difference does it make if you know your MMA history?
1. Mark Coleman won tournaments in both the UFC and Pride. Dan Henderson won tournaments in both Pride and Rings. No one has won all three.
2. Tim Sylvia (steroids), Josh Barnett (steroids), BJ Penn (contratual dispute), Jens Pulver (contractual dispute), Randy Couture (contractual dispute), and Frank Mir (inactivity)
I’ll be the first to say “I don’t know MMA” because I don’t watch it all the time. Does watching TV mean you are good at MMA? Guess I’m a poser.
royce gracie, ken shamrock, dan henderson (ufc tourny)
mark coleman, vanderlie silva (pride)
not knowledgable in rings
2) this is easy….tim silva and josh barnett were stripped of their belt due tom the fact steriods were found in their system & frank mir was stripped due to his bike accident
Maybe we should make a question to see who can actually read….
1. Dan Henderson
2. Randy Couture – Contract Dispute
Josh Barnett – Steroids
Frank Mir – Unable to compete due to injuries
Tim Sylvia willing gave up his title after testing positive. He wasn’t stripped.
If you want to find people who know MMA wou could try Sherdog. The GENIUSES there know that Dana White is in some super scam to keep all of the fighters there but still not pay them a cent, and that Strikeforce could afford to pay Tito 1 million a fight.
Mark Coleman has been a tournament champion in both the UFC and Pride.
Josh Barnett lost a UFC title due to testing positive to steroids
Randy Couture gave up the belt so he could make one last go at Greco-Roman. (I know that Wikipedia list the reason as contract dispute, but that wasn’t what the UFC or he said at the time.)
Tim Sylvia lost a title for testing positive for steroids.
Frank Mir also lost his belt because he was unable to participate.
Bas Rutten also vacated the title after that questionable win over Kevin Randleman. The truth was probably closer to the fact that he had so many broken bones in his face after the match, that he didn’t fight in any division after that.
Wow, you know about sports, whoopee.
