Mike Tyson was only about 5’9 1/2. (maybe 3/4), even though he was usually listed at 5’10. There is still plenty of volume in Manhoef’s 5’8, 200+ pound frame. There are hard hitting fighters with the ‘stockier’ body styles. Mike Zambidas, Phil Baroni, Urijah Faber, are a few. More mass is concentrated in areas which are primarily relevant, in generating punching power. The size of Manhoef’s shoulder’s, lats, and legs explain much of his power.
