MMA – Capoeira vs. Kickboxer

by MasterBlaster on February 27, 2010

This is an interesting fight I have recently found. A Capoeirista fighting in a stand-up fight k-1 rules.

He just wore himself out. lol. When the other fighter sees you winded. Its a wrap. Kickboxing is great because there is not a lot of wasted energy.

Capoeira????????????WHERE??????????

Jabilities February 28, 2010 at 00:38

getting kicked by a windmill doesn’t hurt at all though, as soon as you connect your momentum stops, and like some of the kicks, it really doesn’t look your in any position to follow through.

kickboxer did a foul, when the capoeira guy is falling to the ground he kicks him , allowed, but then he punches the back of his head, thats not allowed.

hahahahah looks cool but sucks! omg…

RhadeConstantine February 28, 2010 at 02:31

several capoeira techniques involve biting eye gouging etc which isn’t found in something designed for entertainment purposes, capoeira was designed to be used for self defense by african slaves who were often discriminated against.

RhadeConstantine February 28, 2010 at 02:32

because those kicks are fast direct efficient and capoeira’s kicks are some of the deadliest in the world. hope that clears it up

binot February 28, 2010 at 02:49

why is it that fighter make it hard for themselves to stops hitting when their opponents are already down??? hmm

missionkid February 28, 2010 at 03:38

its not a waste of time its good for relaxing but if you try to use it on an actual fighter u will get ktfo

SuperSerenityPrayer February 28, 2010 at 03:46

capoeira is inefficient

RastaBearINX February 28, 2010 at 04:44

and of course this fighter isn’t at that level i’m talking about…juat sayin

RastaBearINX February 28, 2010 at 04:55

IMO i feel like capoeria has some of the deadliest kicks in the world. When you think about martial artist and how they twist their body to get maximum damage in their kicks, you have to think the capoeria kick is even stronger because its swung full circle (like doing a windmill in breakdacing) before connecting. now of course I don’t men EVERY kick is like that, but a 360 spin kick is alot more powerful than an average roundhouse kick

SomTamKaoNiaow February 28, 2010 at 05:25

ok show me a video of a good fight between capoeira and another art? I’d be really interested in seeing it. Personally I don’t believe there are any, just like Bruce Lee fight real videos… a shame, but true

archemondus February 28, 2010 at 06:02

Actually I find the Capoeira footwork pretty good, and pretty deceptive for the opponent. At first, the KB guy had a hard time seeing through it to land a clean hit. However, moving in such a way may probably drain your energy pretty quickly.

ballm0use February 28, 2010 at 06:50

kapoeira looks kool anyway.
