County funds several projects
PARKERSBURG – Wood County commissioners have approved funding for a number of projects and programs including several recreation and sports programs, airport, veterans museum, Project Lifesaver, SW Resources and youth programs. The funding is being taken out of the line item for video lottery proceeds. Among the expenditures was $2,500 to assist with some repairs at the airport facility.

Five student-athletes exposed raw feelings about race and immigration in a Morgan Hill high school this week when they made the provocative choice to wear shirts and shorts bearing the stars and stripes of the American flag to school on Cinco de Mayo.
