@lanzedom Hes good as fuck so shut the fuck up hes a true Judo prsctitioner and has some of the craziest grip better than hendo and hes mootivated and has a goood clear mind not a fuckin junkie like stupid ass parysian so dont compare him to any of them hes on a whole nother level when it comes all those other judo bassed MMA fighters

lanzedom May 22, 2010 at 19:23

@judopathoftruth let’s see… Akiyama’s biggest win is the “grease gate” scandal over saku. Parisyian is the biggest under acheiver in the UFC WW division.. Yoshida was given every oppertunity to be a champion in pride, but aside from hunt he never won the big fight, naku is decent, but isn’t even gatekeeper level and lombard, besides a few big wins on small shows, what has he really done? I think sokodjou is the best you got rite now and minowa just gave him a dirt nap… judo huh?

judopathoftruth May 22, 2010 at 19:50

@lanzedom dont be stupid. Judokas in mma do very well, some do come up short the majority dont.
Akiyama, Parisyian,Yoshida,Nakamura,Lombard- there are many.
Dont be ignorant.

@judopathoftruth judo is affective, but don’t get to excited… judo players aren’t use to gettin hit in the face… judo, in a judo enviroment is very dynamic… In an enviroment where competitors are well rounded in all forms of fighting, judo players come up short in technique… I do enjoy and appreciate the art..

いきなりUFCなんて事にならなくてよかったな

lanzedom May 22, 2010 at 23:49

first off, I hate brock, but he won his first mma fight.. second, I’m a big fan of yoshida, but he’s not on the same level as mir (not a fan of him either)… satoshi was a name they were throwing around for fedya… the kid is you has a great base, but has little heart… what happens when he comes to america and fights guys much bigger and tougher?

billysue2 May 23, 2010 at 00:43

@monoforraptunes its easy build core strength or any other strength, that aint what determines takedown success, its timing and kuzushi(balance breaking)

nellistthetank May 23, 2010 at 00:52

dont hate guys :) … Brock lost his first fight…now hes the UFC Heavyweight champ… its a totally different ball game if you come from just a grappling or just a striking background. and then learning a new style and actually deploying it in a fight is 2 diffferent things. Hell do well, he just has to learn and learn from his mistakes…Kimbo anybody :)

Saikanix May 23, 2010 at 01:17

I love how he went through all of this, then got bought out by WVR. =P

YouCantKillMrGOATSE May 23, 2010 at 02:02

He looked like shit against Yoshida.

johell999 May 23, 2010 at 02:36

Love to see more judoka get into this sport. Heavy weight too (probably going to be light heavy weight though).

hardkicka May 23, 2010 at 03:33

everyone’s coming to mma

monoforraptunes May 23, 2010 at 04:05

1 thing judo players have that bjj players dont is insane core strength and that helps VERY much for takedowns and takedown defense which is HUGE in MMA.

Jade3liphant May 23, 2010 at 04:09

@ ytsapt375 Inoues brother is my JJ coach

AudienceKiller66 May 23, 2010 at 04:17

just like you right?

Nathanmp3 May 23, 2010 at 04:57

ishii its a diferent Judoka
his style is more agressive and this was importantto the MMA transiton!

RudyfulDeBeautiful May 23, 2010 at 05:20

there is no doubt. Randy is one of the best representatives for mma. Once Randy retires and commits to coaching…he’s going to have some champions coming out of his camp…and some champions are already training with him. If Ishii continues to train with Randy, he’ll make a hell of stir up in the HW division once he gets some mma experience and stand up training. His grappling is in no question…Gold Medal in Judo…need i say more? Randy could only help him make the mma transition.
