its very simple why can’t people figure it out. I agree with your first couple minutes. But you are WAY off base when you say you should force someone on the ground. Or start the match in a grapple, thats really stupid. Furthermore, its not boxing that is prevalent, its stand up martial arts, Tae Kwon do, karate, Aikido, judo, etc. You dont have any valid point by trying to force a standup fighter to fight on the ground, because one of the fighters is a ground fighter, silly argument.

i agree with you…but i think the fight start stand-up because that would be the simulation of a real fight…also i think a title belt fight should end just with knock out, tko or submission but i know the problem is the tv time.if it was like that i think jiujitsu fighters would take adventage of that, because every fight ends in the ground, he could simmulate he’s badly hurt,fall and submite the opponent.

Wrestlers and Jui Jitsu fighters have been the most influential fighters to date. Very impressive for someone w/out ever being a fighter himself.

World Traveler man: I think you are wrong. The First Round, Anderson Silva executed a flying knee and dropped Damian. Also moves before that, he already owned the fight. Anderson choose to finish him he might could have suceeded in the first round and we only had a 5 min battle By going to more rounds, we could enjoySilva much longer. He could not do any of his moves, because he would have knocked Maia out 100 time. Consider the fight lasted only 1 min. However, I am not happy of his

Well if he’s so tired of fighting worthless opponents why doesn’t he drop down to George St. Pierre’s weight class and fight him? Don’t let the UFC pick your opponents if your supposedly the best, you call out the guys you want to fight. Just like BJ Penn did, he dominated his division and decided he was good enough to enter into GSP’s weight class and challenge him.

And Maia didn’t start fighting till the 4th n 5th round, the first three rounds he just attempted take downs, failed and got nailed, he didn’t engage until he realized that he was losing the fight and had to start doing something. Silva just backed away and let Maia throw for the last 2 rounds, Maia did it for the first 3. Maia moved back, he was to scared to get countered, and didn’t really engage that much. Look at Maia’s face, and you could see who really was engaging the fight.
Silva is the best. His last fight was more entertaining than GSP’s last performance, so idk why he’s getting so much shit for it. Yet, Maia got no shit for it… oh wait neither did Thales Leites. Nothing has happened to him, all strategy.

I think one of the reasons hes been acting like this is that the UFC is not giving him any challengeing matches. But still he shouldnt have danced around like a cunt the entire match. What made me mad was that it was obvious that he could’ve finished the fight but, instead chooses to dance around and let it go to decsion.
