@eyetolduso My hunch is that Chuck kinda planned this to be his last fight – but against Tito – wanted to go out with a KO of his biggest rival as a sort of farewell / end on a high note. Too bad. Would have been great to see him end on a high.
@graycam Franklin said it best after the fight when he stated that Chuck tends to “Over-commit” when he “Thinks” he has someone hurt, and he just ends up leaving his chin exposed while throwing wildly. I hope Chuck sticks around a little longer myself…at least one more fight with Ortiz, I’d love to see him go out with another Tito KO….lol

Chuck looked good. Problem is he’s been hit on the chin too many times. Each time you’re knocked out, your threshold for getting knocked out lowers. If he continues to fight, he’ll get easier and easier to knock out (from a physiological perspective). Chuck had a great career – and is a pioneer. But all good things must come to an end.
Chuck would have won that fight probably had he not just stepped in and gotten caught. Those kicks he was throwing were fucking brutal.

@ezcondition ya I thought chuck actually looked better than ever in this fight but he still hasn’t fixed his only really big problem of over committing when he thinks someones hurt he got away with it before but now these fighters study each other so much that you can’t get away with it. if he could fix that I think he could still compete again lol but Im starting to think maybe even if he fixes that problem he shouldn’t fight because I don’t want to see him getting a brain disease or something.

he looked good for about 2 minutes then Bing!! on the jaw and he was sleeping before he hit the ground. he should have been kicking, which he has some massive kicks’, and changing levels along time ago, would have been even more terrifying to fight and prolonged his career
