Cro Cop is back! He’s prolly not gonna be the best but he makea a damn good gatekeeper. I think he’s more focused, less tense, less nervous, and know’s how to train to win. He’s getting up there in age but he’s in his prime.

I know that Cro Cop isn’t the same as he was back then, but there isn’t a whole lot of physical things limiting him. Look at guys like Couture or Coleman and keep in mind that Carwin is 35. The only problem Cro Cop has is that he is not hungry enough to be in the top 3. Barry may be one of the hardest hitting fighters in the world today, but he is fighting like it’s the 90′s. The sport has moved on, but Barry was never there in the first place to get his 15 minutes. I don’t get his fans.

@Dalarna3 I mean if he was the cro cop from pride he would have destroyed Barry and would have won a decision against Santos. So he would be top three he was that good I was a huge fan of his but I realize hes no longer that guy. And in my opinion Barry is a better striker I would pick him in a rematch. I still like cro cop and he brings depth into the hw div.

@NearlyFreeSpeech Granted that technically he dropped crocop on his ass because the punch OBVIOUSLY DID cause some damage, what makes you so sure Barry would have finished him? He got back up INSTANTLY, and being a good striker, you never want to rush your opponents just to get caught, specially not when they have good straights like Mirko. Sure I am nut-hugging, but my major point is, if he where to have rushed crocop, he would have taken it to the ground just to outclass Barry there.

hahaha if cro cop was not hurt like you say he should of remained standing exchanging blows. am i right? or am i right? ha quit over analyzing the match kid we both know pat barry showed a little too much respect for the old warhouse and it backfired. Simple

@NearlyFreeSpeech Crocop wasn’t hurt in a being knocked out kind of way, it was damage to his retina from the hard blow, it gave him double vision, he needs to check that eye, the only thing that would have happened, is Barry would have pursued crocop to the ground, and Barry would have been submitted there, Crocops ground game is way better than MOST heavyweights actually. Either way, even if he COULD have, he didn’t, and he’s never followed OTHER downed opponents either, Crocop wasnt exception

@KICO19ZG Its a suspicion that is all. Why do I have this suspicion? Well, he was a cop to begin with, and the “friendship” seems so very coincidental and it played into CCs hands in a very fortunate way.
Believe me, I was as big a fan of CroCop as anyone; and I HOPE I’m wrong; believe me I do; nevertheless, this fight was not a Mirko in his prime. In his prime, Barry would have been on the floor pretty darn quick.
This was just a suspicion thrown out there to see if anyone else picked up on it
