@heavybones, not everybody knows how to speak english fluently, I’am Norwegian and I have an A in English but many of the questions i hear in interviews I dont understand and for me to answer them wouldnt be the best thing.
I would probably sound stupid.

all you sucker pay attention, Anderson Silva doesn’t speak english fluently….. he speaks just the basic, that’s why when the guy asks more complicated questions, Soares comes to translate it… AS ‘s skills for english are limited to the basic only. What do you think? nobody has to speak your fucking language, he’s brazilian, speaks portuguese, end of story.
@Ronsam2006 tim sylvia did hold the belt, when he did, he defended it – he did not push to end fights because it was easier for him to defend then be aggresive. i’m saying anderson silva is becoming like sylvia because he’s not going for the finish. i’m talking about behaviour, not skill level or the fact that sylvia lost his belt. soooooo, go fuck yourself

You know. He’s answering the difficult questions in Portuguese because it’s his FUCKING FIRST LANGUAGE and he has an interpreter. Would you give a half-assed answer in Chinese or something if you only knew 100 words or would you answer in your native tongue and give a detailed, eloquent answer?
He tried to answer a few questions in English and he comes across sounding kind of dumb. Being that he’s a pretty smart dude I’d imagine he’d want to give smarter answers in Portuguese. stop being dumb.
what I don’t get is how people change faces so quickly. Anderson Silva has finished 8 of 11 fights(technically 9 out of 11 if you count the Patrick Cote) and people hate because two of his fights were a disappointing based on his antics. I will tell you this, I would rather see two weird fights where anderson is still dominating than George St Pierre controlling guys on the ground for five rounds in several of his last fights. Not that I don’t like Pierre I just think Anderson is the best.
Chael was right. Speaks fluent english and then when asked a question he does not like about the last fight he stops speaking english?! Hell of a fighter but freaking weird. I wonder if he has a mental illness or something.

fans loved anderson when his fights were ending with a knockout but we had 2 a little more “boring” fight they bu him. after he knocked out forrest griffin he was again number one. this are not true fans they just watch and go to this events to see a fighter get hurt at the highest allowed limit. If you are a true fan you stand behind your team and fighter at his falls and rises. i believe silva will suprise sonnen and win
