wha’ts a good benchmark to set
As far as:
Running
Pushups
Situps
And how many could a UFC fighhter do?
Also does having bulky muscles really slow your punches down?

good goals for mma fighting.
Work to develop skills, and technique.
Technique and Skill beat strength.
MMA fighters train for explosive strength, and muscular endurance. As well as cardio and conditioning.
the more muscle you have the more oxygen you need.
If your a big stiff muscle head, then yes your going to be slow.
Look at all of the top fighters, are any of them huge muscle freaks, NO. Sure most of them have great physiques but they aren’t huge body builder like people.
running – hours and hours
pushups – hundreds
sitsups – thousands
and lots and lots of mat time, bag time and sparing
and more remember you have to condition for blocking leg kicks
fighting in the UFC or any MMA format is a full time job. that’s 40 hrs of week, plus almost every waking hour when you are training for a fight.
First off i want to say just HOW important Conditioning is
Ive been in 7 MMa fights and never loss(Showoff haha)
But in my first fight in the first 3 minutes i was exhaused out of my mind
GRappling and ground game is the most exhausting
Bulky muscles do slow down your punches
So You want to be really stron/ but Lean
PErfect Example: Vitor belfort
Also Mental strength
To improve on that lets say you been running for 20 minutes straight and your legs are burning…
Keep going
