What are these autographs worth from famous MMA fighters in the UFC and WEC?

by MasterBlaster on April 15, 2010

I have an official UFC 100 program from the event as well as a UFC 4 ounce glove, both with all these autographs on it:

Wanderlei Silva – Former Pride Champion, UFC Middleweight
Shane Carwin – UFC Heavyweight Contender
Cain Velasquez – UFC Heavyweight Contender
Mike Brown – WEC Featherweight Champion
Joe Lauzon – UFC Lightweight
Arianny Celeste – UFC Ring Girl
Jacob “Stitch” Duran – UFC Cut man
Gray Maynard – UFC Lightweight Contender
Nate Quarry – UFC Middleweight
Patrick Cote – UFC Middleweight

These were all signed at the UFC Fan Expo, as well as walking around the Mandalay Bay during the weekend of UFC 100. Do I need to get a certificate of authenticity? I am wondering the value of these items, preferrably from a sport memorabilia expert.

You along with everyone else got shit signed. Not to bring you down or anything, but they wont be worth more than 20 bucks for another decade or 6.

maybe when the ufc hits it big, or when the fighters die

not worth anything. sporting memorabilia isn’t worth anything until the athletes either retire or die. and MMA is still such a young sport that they aren’t going to be worth anything.

Not an expert, but right now you could probably get about $100 on ebay. I would definitely recommend hanging on to them for a few years and keeping them is mint condition. Since UFC 100 was a landmark event and you have some decent sigs it will probably be worth something down the road.

Wanderlei Silva – Maybe $50 it depends what its on a pic not so much but gloves would be alot.
Shane Carwin – About $7 hes still young if he wins a world title the value will go way up
Cain Velasquez – Same as Shane because ironically they will be fighting eachother at UFC 104
Mike Brown – He beat Faber twice so maybe $20
Arianny Celeste – About $0 because she has done nothing except walk around but if she goes into magazines maybe a little bit more.
Jacob Duran – Many don’t know him so probably not much.
Gray Maynard – $7 now but if he beats Roger Huerta the value would go way up.
Nate Quarry – $10 maybe
Patrick Cote – Not Much maybe $10
I have a good idea on what things are worth because I work at Field of Dreams at Mall of America which sell sport memoralbilia I take it that you went to the UFC Fan Expo.
I was at UFC 87 and got some autographs myself
Quinton Jackson – Former UFC Light Heaveyweight Champion
Dana White – UFC Owner
Amir Saddollah – TUF 7 Winner
Matt Serra – Former UFC Welterweight Champion and TUF 4 Winner

Were all the signatures on the same item or separate? If they are on the same item, it will be worth less than the signatures individually would be worth on their own item since these fighters are unrelated (i.e. haven’t fought, aren’t on the same card, etc). To sell them, you would need them aunthenticated by a legit source to get the maximum value. But the reality is MMA is such a small niche sport that they aren’t worth a whole lot. Coolect the signatures of the fighters you like and not for their value.
