The first things you should invest in are boxing shoes and hand wraps. That is all you will need for the first couple of weeks. Gloves should be provided already. They should have some laying around. But later on, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to get some of your own. Boxing shoes you can find online at ringside.com or titleboxing.com. Don’t spend that much for your first pair. Handwraps are cheap. You can get them at your local sports store. You probably won’t be able to get your first pair of shoes before your first session, so a comfortable pair of sneakers will suffice.

Handwraps. Try to get the 180″ ones, the other ones are too small, unless you have pretty small hands. You should try to get boxing shoes, but those will probably not arrive for your first session or a few sessions as a matter of fact. Try to get your own pair of gloves too. You should get a mouth guard and head gear. The trainer will probably tell you when to get the mouth guard when you are ready to spar, but it doesn’t hurt to have it ready.

I did a lot of exercise, learning to wrap the hands, getting to know the equipment which included light punching but …… all I took with me was a trainer, shorts and an athletic vest …… I found gloves there. I had to buy my gloves, boots and wraps by 4th week. 2 decades ago it was slowly paced, progression nowadays they rush everyone so its better to prepare early and buy everything you need.
