Even though he hasn’t defended it yet, it’s Samoa Joe.

I must say….The Undertaker since he had for a short amount of time last year, and probably because he went 16-0 at Mania making him keep the belt so he’d be more powerful?…I guess.

all time-beyond a doubt Ric Flair-he actually proclaimed how the title meant everything not just a hunk of metal that today’s stars treat it
Today I would say probably Undertaker shows the most respect for what it represents followed by HHH.
I don’t understand why many champs don’t wear it to the ring-they simply fling it around as nothing more than a accessory.

Of all time I’d say Hulk Hogan or Bret Hart. Many of the wrestlers, when champion, hide behind the belt, such as Ric Flair or Triple H. Some take for granted that they’re the champion like DDP or JBL. Some are afraid to be champ, like Lex Luger or David Arquette. Others don’t take being champion seriously, like Shawn Michaels or Kurt Angle. And than there are the ones who don’t even care: Ultimate Warrior or Batista. Don’t forget the ones who see the World Title as 2nd priority (Kevin Nash & Andre “the Giant”). But every now and than you’ll get a champion who takes great pride in holding the title. Bret Hart or The Rock. Hulk Hogan used to be that way, but he’s collected his fare shares of titles over the year, they don’t seem to appease him any more. Rock holds the titler like it’s the source of his power. Bret Hart sees holding the title as a symbol that says “I am the best.” Eddie Guerrero was somewhat like that. Chris Benoit was always so silent you could never tell how he felt as champion. I don’t see the pride coming from guys like Edge or Great Khali. Undertaker’s so grim, it’s hard to tell with him. Sting’s a good one. I see some honer coming from Randy Orton. Occasionally you’ll get it from John Cena. Than there are some who are proud to be champion but pride really gets the best of them like Brock Lesner or Booker T. When they’re champion they feel unbeatable. Steve Austin was one who didn’t see life worth living without the belt. He was too desperate and wouldn’t try anything else once it was lost. Guys like Goldberg and Mick Foley didn’t seem to understand what it meant to be champion. Foley saw the belt as just another title, Goldberg was more worried about keeping his streak alive. Than there are those who just hold the title to piss people off: Sycho Sid, Sgt. Slaughter, Iron Sheik, Jeff Jarrett. You rarely find a champion with the pride and determination of a Bret Hart. Ron Simmons, as short as his reign was, showed a great deal pride, but he was more proud of the fact that he was World Champion… and black! So the answer to your question is Bret Hart.
