They are fighting for the UFC lightheavy weight championship.
According to an recent interview with Dana White, he said that the fight would be for the ufc title but not for the pride title. He made a point to say that it was not a unification match.
There is no title on the line. This is a one shot deal. After this fight, Hendo is going back to Pride.
it’s not going to be a merger of titles or Pride FC/UFC. here’s an article that explains what is going on and what is on the line. http://ufcjunkie.com/2007/07/03/report-ufc-75-henderson-vs-jackson-fight-for-ufc-light-heavyweight-championship/
They are going to compete for the UFC light heavywieght title it is not going to combine the pride title with the ufc title! if henderson wins he will be the ufc LIGHT heavywieght title no he will not be sent back to pride! the ufc now owns pride and are going to use the best pride fighters for the ufc!
