what exercises do mma fighters do in the weight room to improve strength and speed?

ive heard that even though many mma fighters are huge they dont train like bodybuilders! does anybody know what exercises they do and how many set and reps they usually perform?

Interval training for cardio – for explosive energy

Squats for overall power

Pushups for chest strength (as opposed to bench presses)

Shoulder presses for punching power

Don’t forget most of them spend time working on their boxing, BJJ and wrestling as well

Which is why 99% of MMA fighters have lean functional muscle as opposed to bulky slow muscle mass

if ur stating at home… situps, pullups, dumbells and pushups. these will tone both your offensive and defensive weapons. exp..youll avoid shots to the head but shots to the body r taken often, if u have a mushy core those hits will hurt a ton more.
if u have a gym membership i find swimming great, you use chest, arms, legs and helps conrol breathing. nothing worse than having your mouth open when taking a hit to the jaw.
