Im probably going to start MMA classes in about to months so what are some things i gcan do to get prepared for it?

- work on core strength and flexibility. I do Muay Thai now, have done some BJJ and MMA. The one thing I see in newbie males is that they’re too “stiff in the hips.”
- work on condition, and focus on interval training. Among other things, start training with 1 minute sprint + 1 minute rest, then 2 minute sprints + 1 minute rest, etc. up to 5 minutes for 4-5 rounds.
- work on functional strength/plyometrics in general, but don’t get too hung up on strength, especially non-functional strength. (Too many newbie males get obsessed with getting muscles and forget the rest, and then wonder why they’re exhausted after 30 seconds of fighting.)
