The countries that don’t have anything else better to do.

I hope the U S is not one of them.

ONLY IN AMERICA!

DOESN’T MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, IT WILL ALWAYS BE ONLY IN AMERICA!

In general, I would have to say Mexico as their fans are hard core and expect a lot of their fighters. Julio Ceaser Chavez could do no wrong he was the perfect style in their eyes and they wouldn’t embrace the Golden Boy for the longest time. As far as the UK goes I wouldn’t say they were very high at all for most of their boxers but when Ricky Hatton came along they showed more pride in him than any country out there. Who else has a traveling band and Christmas paradies sang throughout their fights. By far Ricky Hatton fans are the best fans in boxing today! I like this question Jon it made me think.

Great question JON (you get a star)…

I can honestly tell you, from first hand experience, that South Africans take most pride in their boxers. The boxers from South Africa, I’ll admit, aren’t really that great most of the time, but the people here (South Africa) don’t care. They just come watch the fights to see some great action, with two men just throwing punches at each other, until one of them, inevitably, falls down. They don’t care if their boxers have many losses, they just know what that fighter can do and are proud to have that fighter as a native to South Africa. A semi-god in this country is the great ex-Flyweight champion, “Baby Jake” Matlala. Regardless of his win-loss record (53-13, which isn’t that great), they still love and admire him to death. They really don’t care about wins or losses, they just take so much pride in a fighter that brings lots of action to the ring.

It’s just a big bonus for the South African (mostly Black) fans if that fighter gets a World Title.

Conversely, South African fighters also take great pride in being a South African.

I admire you choices and where they are placed in your rankings, the only thing I would add is South Africa :)
