Which organization is better UFC or Pride? All the Pride champions against all the UFC champions?

i love both, but as personal fave, i’d have to go with pride fc.. i love the longer 1st round and the talent just seems to me more diverse.. especially in the bushidos, they remind me of the ifl.. or rather the ifl reminds me of pride bushidos…

but i love both.. actually, i like any fighting organization as long as it brings talented fighters and is a clean, fair establishment..

i think that’s the problem with most people, people think they aren’t being loyal if it’s a different organization.. i think all martial arts are wonderful, i don’t pay attention to names or logos, give me a good mma fight and i’m happy!

I am going to go with UFC.

I think Emilianenko is the best heavyweight in the world.

The only weight class that I don’t know will hold up is the light-heavyweight. Not that I don’t like Quinton, I do and I think he will beat Henderson, but I think there are so many talented light-heavyweight contenders from pride and the UFC the belt will go bouncing around a lot. so it is even

Other than that UFC has it

Middleweight is strong too especially with Silva and Franklin anyone in pride is going to have trouble with them.

Welterweight once again UFC has a better and deeper weightclass is so deep its crazy, I don’t think pride can contend with it.

For lightweight I think gomi is good but with people like Sherk, Florian and if Penn stays in it, I don’t think he will get the belt.

The UFC, because the PrideFC we all knew and loved is now dead. All the good Pride fighters are signing with the UFC.

let me just get this out of the way, Anderson Silva is from pride, just like Herring, Big Nog, Rampage, Hendo,Rua,Wanderlai, and Cr Cop, plus we haven’t even really seen the talent as far as the lighter weights are concerned, most being asian. I like the mma in a ring, the longer first round, the international concept of it and the extreme talent it had. I think that someday the Ufc be that big but it might take another year or 2 or 3. The Top guys in the UFC were like big fish in a little pond, but now the sharks have come to feast.

I like the UFC better, but I watch Pride all the time too. I’ve recently read that UFC is buying out Pride. It was discovered that Pride was ran by Japanese mafia types. Pride has had better champions, but they are all going over to UFC now. CroCop is one of my fav. Pride fighters, but he got his ass kicked in his UFC debut.

currently theyre pretty even but pride still has advantages on lightweight, welter weight. everything else is pretty even. previously pride was much bettter but like the yankees, ufc offers more money so the better guys just keep comin

Why are we arguing over which is better? As an organization obviously UFC was run better because DSE had to sell PRIDE.

Fedor is the top Heavyweight
Shogun is the top LHW
People say Filho is the top MW but I can’t say myself so…
GSP is the top WW
BJ is the top 155 (as long as he stays there)

So it’s about even. If you ask me nobody has jumped up to the top at 185 yet.

pride, the matchups are a little complicated since the weightclasses are different but here goes:
hw: fedor vs couture…. gee i wonder, couture should have an ambulance near by for this
lhw: Jackson vs Henderson, well jackson is from pride in the first place so pride wins automatically but i say henderson wins, jackson wasn’t considered a contender for the belt in pride
mw: Henderson vs silva, again silva is from pride and wasn’t considered a contender back then, that and henderson would win
ww: gomi vs serra, gomi, although serra’s submission ability could make it interesting, as that is gomi’s weak point
lw: gomi vs sherk, i actually don’t know this i think would be the only close fight, if forced to pick i would go with sherk though i might change my mind tomorrow
the fact is gomi, henderson, both emelianko’s, mauricio rua, wanderlai silva, aoki, etc are all in a class of fighter the ufc has not seen for years.
