who here thinks hamilton’s pride got in his way?

by MasterBlaster on April 6, 2010

it looks like he already felt that he’s already the champion
he even told ron dennis to break the tradition of f1 that the teams keep the drivers’ trophy and the drivers get a replica of themselves. He said “I want to have my first DRIVER’S CHAMPIONSHIP trophy and FIRST RACE WIN trophy”.
Wow, talk about being cocky. Now he lost all his talent, which I think many drivers have, and is in tremendous pressure

I think his inexperience got in his way. Both in how he mishandled his tires and how he assessed track conditions. The track was dry, but it never occurred to him the pit lane was wet.

basically he is a boy and he wanted to race. i don’t think pride has got anything to do with it. as for the trophies, well by saying that it doesn’t automatically mean he was counting his chickens. he might not win it this year, but when he does it would be nice to have the actual original trophy sitting in your cabinet, i know i would want it if it were me. i certainly don’t think he has lost his talent. lets wait until next year with no traction control and see who handles their cars with grace before we say anyone has lost talent

yep

Yes. He’s becoming big-headed, acting like an F1 king and saying stuff like, he hopes Alonso will go to Ferrari. I think that’s really too much. He’s just a rookie and he’s letting fame and success get to his head too fast.

I agree… Lewis, don’t count your chickens before they hatch.
