Certainly NOT Anderson Silva! Not with four losses to four bums, GSP would be a logical choice, But All time would be in my opinion Royce Gracie, Then GSP, Matt Hughes, All time best MMA fighter is Fedor.

The best on what basis?

For me it would be Randy Couture, due to his amazing record in big fights.

Also, Royce Gracie because he revolutionised the sport of MMA by proving that size wasn’t necessarily everything.

Anderson Silva and GSP for their dominance and work rate.

It’s hard to compare the new fighters to the old fighters though. A long time ago the sport was different. The fighters didn’t need to be as well trained back then to win and it was more about natural talent and physical toughness. I reckon if they were up and coming fighters now, with all the focus on training and conditioning, then the following guys would be incredible: Pedro Rizzo, Don Frye, Vitor Belfort, Ricco Rodriguez.

It’s between GSP and Silva P4P. Most dominant was Matt Hughes.

Fedor is the best ever.

Yeah, it’s had to compare fighters from different eras. Royce wouldn’t have a prayer against GSP.

Best UFC fighter ever? It’s hard to say considering the changes the UFC has gone through over the years. I could easily say Royce Gracie considering that he fought people way out of his weight class and was undefeated in no holds barred for longer than any mortal should be. Or i could say Matt Hughes whos record is astonishing with the number of wins he’s acquired in pro fights over the years. I could also say Anderson Silva due to his domination streak he has going. There’s so much to consider.

My answer would have to be… Royce Gracie. Just because of the way the UFC was during his time and to dominate at that time is absurd.
