Who is your favourite UFC fighter and why?

by MasterBlaster on April 26, 2010

In my humble opinion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is the greatest fighter, followed by George “Rush” St-Pierre, and Anderson “Spider” Silva. What do you think?

Randy Couture. He’s a local boy and he kicks bottom.

Chuck Ladell

I like Chuck Liddell. He’s talented, strong, and sexy as hell. I also like the fact that he doesn’t trash talk to the point of some of the others ( like Tito Ortiz). I think he manages to keep the integrity in the sport.

My favorite UFC fighter is Anderson Silva.

He’s got technical striking, an extremely dynamic guard, and is a class act. Plus, his victory dances are god-awesome!

I would have disagree with Chuck Liddell being classy. He’s annoyingly cocky, in my opinion. Just look his behavior in the last few months… He refused to accept his first loss to Rampage and he called it a fluke, while claiming that he was still the better fighter. Well, we all saw how that went… Then more recently, he wasn’t showing Wanderlei a lot of respect. “He’s a tough guy, but I’ll knock him out.” So much for that. (Mind you, he fought a real good fight.) Yeah, he’s not horrible, but Chuck Liddell is FAR from a class act.

(I don’t even want to bring up the Jardine fight… I’m trying to forget that.)

ive always been partial to the jujutsu guys ever since i began watching royce gracie defeat guys who could eat him for dinner and not be full. so i really like Nougeira and Paulo Fhilo. rampage is a good fighter but i dont know if he has the ground skills to stay at the top of the ligh heavies. i do think he will defeat Forrest even though i dont think it will be an easy fight.

It used to be Matt Hughes. But now its GSP. I used to think he blew but after I saw him throw hughes I was like damn.

I like all the fighters that you mentioned but I like Anderson Silva the most. Silva makes great fighters look very average,he destroyed Forrest in the very first round. He is very strong in spite of his physique. Those muay thai clinches are the best that I have seen.

Before all the “new” UFC fans came in and jumped on his jock strap, Chuck Liddell and Wanderlei Silva. I remember his earlier wins over Jeff Monson, Guy Mezger (Pride fight), etc. I first saw him live against Kevin Randleman in UFC 32 and I got a chance to take a picture with him and an autograph after the fight in Taj MAhal (NJ). That wasa killer card (Carlos Newton shocked the mma world choking out PAt Militich too)

Silva is a beast, but like Liddell getting up there in age. Both have accomplished so much in mma that they will for sure be hall offame fighters…

My favorite fighter is Wanderlei Silva, hes a exciting fighter, the heart he shows is just unreal and the legacy hes left behind is just amazing.

I mean just watch his second fight with Mirko, Wand could pretty much only see out of one eye, half of his face had blood shooting out, the doctors wanted to stop the fight and Wand knew if he kept going he was gonna get knocked out, but he kept going anyways.
